Dear Grief, You're a B*tch
I’m so pleased to officially announce that my coffee table book, “Dear Grief, You're a B*tch” will be released on June 23, 2019.
You can preorder your copy here!
There are lots of self-help books out there about grief. There, I said it. That’s not what this is.
When my fiancé died, I did a lot of searching for something that could help me grapple with what i was feeling. Nothing was working, and with every “I’m sorry for your loss” that I received, I found myself wanting to throat punch everyone who said those words to me. Having spent years as a Funeral Director, I knew what to expect logistically, but was completely unprepared for what I went through physically, mentally, and emotionally. So I did what always made me feel better. I sat down, and started writing. What I ended up with was a blur of fictional scenarios that induced real feeling. Grief is selfish, rude, hostile, and inconvenient. It barges in and takes over your whole life, just like that b*tch you can't stand.
This was such a cathartic process for me and I’m both excited (and, quite frankly, super nervous) to share this with you all. In addition to the book, I also created a journal to encourage you to write your own stories.
As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and continued support.
Onward!
